GREEK NEWS Feature - please read!

Black Greek Forum is providing a new feature for the membership - GREEK NEWS - a daily news ticker that automatically searches the Internet for Sorority and Fraternity news associated with the Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLO).

The news feature will be available to all registered members - provided that a member has posted at least 10 message posts to the message board or if you are classified as a Charter Member. So get busy if you have not posted at least 10 messages. Until then, you will see a pop-up message that says you do not have permission to view this page. A similar message will appear if you are not logged on.

Bear in mind, that while most of the available news is positive, Black Greek Forum makes no decision on what news stories gets posted. Basically, the server searches the web for news and that is what gets posted. No editing is done to make any BGLO appear any more or less favorable than the other. In other words, some news will be good and some news will be not so good. Also, "irrelevant articles" occasionally sneak by our filters - which have nothing to do with BGLOs. Don't shoot the messenger!

One final note: make sure you have your Internet Explorer pop-up blocker set on Medium, otherwise the links to news article will not work. Either set the pop-up blocker to medium or give Black Greek Forum authorization for pop-ups. (see "Tools" in IE Explorer). This assumes your using Windows XP with the latest updates and patches.

Yes. you now have access to news.

It usually takes about one hour to gain access to news after achieving 10 posts.

I really like this feature. And yeah some news is good and some is bad - aside from being informative, each and every one of us needs to know what is being put in the media about our respective frats/sororities. Carry the torch in a positive way!
